KCMN January Meeting
One of the more common complaints of companies, who are growing, facing retirements and/or planning for the future, is that finding the right people to fill open positions is a continual struggle. January’s KCMN meeting will focus on strategies for finding people to fill those gaps. Metropolitan Community Colleges Business and Technology Center will discuss the launch of their Precision Machining Consortium Program
Kansas City Kansas Community College will provide information on their awarded grant that will launch their Training for Employment (T4E) initiative for careers in construction and advanced manufacturing.
For KCMN members, we are considering launching a quarterly special interest group for those manufacturers interested in continuing the dialog on workforce issues. KCMN advisory board member Lisa Kist is heading up this effort. Come to the January meeting for more information!
