Manufacturers seeking to implement Lean often discuss Lean in terms of process improvement in the production process. While primary processes that directly create value for the customer, such as the product development process and the production process are critical, the business is really a sum of many processes. The great majority of these are support processes that no external customer values, but are essential if the primary processes are going to create the value for the customer. Examples include the hiring process, the billing process, the supplier selection process, and the sales process. Join us on May 10 when our panelists will discuss:

About our Panelists: Joe Torrago has helped Kansas-based organizations achieve their growth plans since coming on board with MAMTC in early 2015. He has received over 5 years of formal training in Lean from the Kaizen Institute of Technology, has achieved Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification and has led Lean implementation in 3 companies and 2 countries. Our Hallmark panelists will discuss how the company’s problem solving culture drives out waste and adds value to the customer. Sally Luck and Mark Pettet created and sustain lean thinking within Hallmark’s HR Corporate Services organization. Talli Denney has helped to transition to a lean/problem solving culture in Hallmark’s Retail Technology group, which has led to the identification of the root cause of issues that pop up repeatedly. Thomas Dunbar has developed SOR’s KAIZEN, LEAN, and 5S processes and training program with Chief Operations Officer from the ground up, which has greatly increased communication throughout the company all the way from customer to employee.
